                                                              BCT Introduces Hong Kong's First Metaverse-Themed One-Stop Mobile Platform App “bct+”

                                                              In support of the Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme Authority's work on investment education and in response to the increasing demand of better digital customer experience driven by the pandemic that has transformed the consumer behavior and lifestyle habits, BCT Group ("BCT") is pleased to announce the launch of bct+, an upgraded version of BCT’s mobile app, with the aim of raising Hong Kong people’s awareness about the right attitude towards MPF and personal finance management in an interesting way. The enhanced MPF management and engagement platform is built with the concept of a Metaverse, and the membership is open to any Hong Kong residents (with HKID card) aged 18 or above. Successfully registered bct+ members can earn Game Coins after completing certain simple missions (or by reference to the asset values of their BCT MPF account(s) (if any); and those Game Coins can be used to redeem various experiences or rewards. What is more, members can also earn Game Coins in bct+ Metaverse to redeem virtual furniture and real-life rewards/experiences.

                                                              bct+ is a decentralized Metaverse where merchants can set up virtual “pop-up stores” to provide exclusive offers and experiences. Members can "play to earn" Game Coins and add value via Coin Bank for virtual furniture to decorate their own “place”, while the “capsule machine” is set to deliver delightful surprises to members from time to time. bct+ members can enjoy an array of attractive benefits, including free coffee upgrades at % Arabica, and close to 100 other offers covering dining, health and wellness, entertainment and lifestyle experiences. “Central Market” will also join bct+ Metaverse, through which offers to bct+ members as well as latest events and happenings of “Central Market” will be shared.                                                               Big-data-analytics-backed Pop-Chart, an industry-first app feature

                                                               

                                                              Apart from various attractive offers, BCT also strives to further enhance customer experience to the next level through bct+ and makes managing MPF a fun experience. As a brand-new feature of bct+, the big data analytics will be used to review the fund choices of the “best-performing BCT MPF members” and feature MPF funds popular to them in the “Pop-Chart”. This feature can serve as additional piece of information for use as reference.
